The treasure was ever so much happier in one of my little jewelry caskets, glad to be set loose from cardboard and enshrined where it could be properly admired. Peek into the beveled glass top of the jewelry casket and you will see what enchanted me so much.
Beads. Beautiful, hand-blown glass beads.
All for me.
Have I said before that I am spoiled?
Yes, I believe I have.
Indeed, I am spoiled.
The beautiful glass beads would not be contained within for long ... they wanted to be free, to be appreciated. And so they spilled out onto the table.
They are truly pleasurable. Lovely to touch. Lovely to see. So many colors.
The more you look at them, the more intriguing they become.
Colors swirl together ... dots of yellow against blue ... what appears to be black is red when held to the light ... tiny leaves ... a swirly bead I am convinced is some sort of magical frog pretending to be a glass bead.
Quite divine, these lovely glass beads are.
Yes, I will derive a good deal of pleasure designing jewelry with the beads.
Years ago, I had a friend. We enjoyed each other's company but as sometimes happens, we drifted apart for no good reason. Our worlds parted.
I wondered, from time to time, where she had gone, how she was, what she was up to.
But ... the blogoshere is a wonderful world and it answered my questions.
The blogosphere allows people thousands of miles away to connect and become friends when they might otherwise have never met. The blogosphere has the power to unite old friends too. My friend found me. No wonder I lost track of her, she doesn't even live in California any more. Our worlds, though miles and miles apart now, have come back together. She is the one who sent the magical package of beautiful beads winging its way to the Cottage. She is the one who lovingly hand-made all those gorgeous glass beads.
I love blogging.

How wonderful! To find a friend thought lost thru blogging...I love it. I make new friends thru it all the time, but to reconnect with an old one is just an unexpected blessing for sure! The bigger our world gets the smaller it becomes.
Love your little jewels made even more precious by the thought behind the stamps!
